After that: Whatever the night brings (There may be a non-officially sanctioned Air B&B - Contact your chapter head for more details (Brandon Wallace - JETAA Ottawa, Clarissa Marie - Toronto, Ugo Jose Lachapelle - Montreal)
Cost: The boat cruise will be $31.40/person if we can get at least 20 people. If we are less than 20, it will be $40/person. Last year we exceeded 20 people. Let's go for gold again this year! Join us in enjoying the Japanese tradition of having a picnic under the beautiful blossoming trees during spring! Everyone is welcome, including friends and family of JET alumni.
The picnic will be in the arboretum, a large 26 hector park, located between Prince of Wales Drive and the Rideau Canal, with a lot of open space. It has over 1,700 of different kinds of shrubs and trees from all over the world – including the famous Japanese cherry blossom trees! We will meet at the Carleton University campus at Dunton Tower and then walk over to the Hanami Picnic area.
This is a bring-your-own-food/drinks event, but we are also taking orders for Sushi Fresh!
To order sushi:
Note: Tax is not included in these prices, so please factor that in when you make your order.
2) When you RSVP to the Hanami Picnic, there will be a space to enter your order.
